...joined mama dog and puppy in the puppy pen last night.
Who in their right mind would choose to sleep with the puppy? Jane, of course, is catching up on her beauty sleep this afternoon.

We are down to mama dog and one puppy. The other three pups went to their new homes this week.
It gets easier each time to let them go.
I thought mama dog might feel bad seeing them go. Usually, the mama dogs leave us first, so I haven't seen how they react to losing their babies.
Well, let me tell you, she is thrilled. Thrilled. Literally jumping for joy. I guess I overestimated how much she enjoyed cleaning up after her children.
The last little pup should be gone next week, and then it is party time for the mama dog. She will get her youthful figure back, and maybe find her own happy home.
