Fuzzie

Our new foster dog:

She was rescued from an animal hoarder with thirty other dogs.

I can't imagine we will have her too long...she is just too adorable.

Puppy, puppy, puppy

I went to the humane society to fill out the application for fostering. Actually, I made Tim fill it out so I could spend time with the poor doggie prisoners.

It was so sad. Most of them were shaking and some were whimpering. I fell in love with a black and white pit bull mix named Nellie. I scratched the top of her head and she bent her head forward and pressed into my hand.

If I didn't have my husband, I would have brought her right home. But Tim put the kebosh on my psychotic plan.

Anyway, they said they would probably have puppies for me within a few weeks. So I have been reading all I can about bottlefeeding and puppy care. I think we will just have orphan pups, but I wouldn't mind having a mother dog here, too.

I really love caring for the mother dogs, because they work so hard taking care of the puppies.
After spending several days pondering my place in the universe, I am going to go to our local humane society tomorrow and fill out an application to bottlefeed orphan puppies.

Annie and I are both quite desperate for some puppy love, so it should be fulfilling.

I would prefer to foster human babies, but we don't have room in our house or our car. So until we have a little more space, I will stick with the canines.
I am literally twiddling my thumbs. How odd.

Last time I felt this bored, I had another baby, but that doesn't seem like a good idea at this point.

I could clean the house, but I am not going to.

Janie and I had a great spring walk, with birds singing and bunnies and lizards running from us.

Well.
My littlest one scratches the neighbor's beagle in just the right spot:
