Making Friends

Little John meeting our neighbor, Chuy Chewie (like Chewbacca, of course!):

Recovery

John is doing so well. He is still not 100%, but he is starting to come out of his shell a bit.

It's Not Easy...

...trying to find your place in this world.

Growing Up Runt

The pups are 8 weeks old this week. They should be getting spayed/neutered and off to their new homes, but because they were so sick, the vet wants to wait a couple more weeks before they have surgery.

Three of the pups went to a different foster home, so we can focus on getting John strong and healthy (without having breakdowns of our own!).

He has really blossomed in their absence and is growing strong and confident. As you can see from the photos above, he is also enjoying some quality time with foster sisters Jane and Nai-Nai.

It is so rewarding seeing John thrive, when there was a time when we were sure he wouldn't make it!

**We always get comments about the big dogs sleeping in the crate. We tryed letting them sleep out of the crate and they freaked out. They LOVE their crate. We are not torturing them with it! :)**

Clearly, the Puppies are Growing!

That's little John at the back of the crate. He is gaining weight!
Umm...the rest are clearly gaining weight as well! :D

Some Good News...

The girls in this family aren't letting the sickness get them down!
They have been playing and fighting like sisters should. Little John
is the one we are keeping an eye on.
