On the Porch...

Madison-Midnight Photo Shoot

What a beauty...so hesitant around us. It just breaks my heart. She has absolutely no aggression to people or dogs, so I know she will be an awesome family dog eventually.

I was trying to get her out the front door today, and she somehow managed to close the front door on me. I was outside, still holding the leash, while she was inside pressed up against the door!

My muscles are aching from the workout she gave me. I might need to go back to chihuahuas. :)

Madison-Five Months Old

New foster dog, Madison (on the left), snuggling with Daisy. She is a GIANT puppy. She likes our dogs but is terrified of us, outside and everything else.

Our hope is that we can get her happy and adjusted and ready for a new home.

My goals at this point would be to get her to walk on a leash (she now just drops to the ground and won't move) and to get her to approach one of us.

Update: She ran with me on the leash!!!!

New Foster Pup

Sammy J. went to an amazing family, so here is the new girl.

She is afraid of everything, and we have been an intensive
desensitization program involving teenagers, loud video games and me
tripping on the metal gates and crates until she can sleep through
anything. :)

I like to think we are well-mannered, but in reality, we are a noisy
family! So basically, if you live here, you either adapt or go crazy.
:)

The resident dogs loooove her, which is a good sign.
