Morgan Riding a "Ferris Wheel" 1993?
The more I look through our photos, a theme seems to be emerging.
Morgan riding things=Morgan crying.
Intruder!
According to wikipedia, he is after my melons! And I saved his life
when the dogs wanted to eat him.

Morgan's First Horse Ride-1994
His body language could not be more clear...:)
I didn't notice because I was resigning myself to meeting Jesus that day. It is very scary to hold your firstborn with one hand, hold on for dear life with the other as the horse cantered/trotted/galloped... (probably was just walking).
New Foster Dogs Rosie and Sparky
They are both total sweethearts. I am used to little puppies that have
no idea what is going on. The older dogs really are so appreciative.
(Especially of a well air-conditioned house!)

Rosie
Picking up this girl tomorrow:
Abandoned by her owners because she got too big. :(
She does need to lose a few pounds, but my house is the place to do it...Haley goes on at least two long walks everyday, so Rosie should slim down in no time. :)
I have had several prospective adopters apologize for not taking a dog because they felt like they were not quite ready for the responsibility. I always tell them they are my favorite people! Making a 10-15 year commitment to a life should be a thoughtful, educated decision.

My First Watermelon!
I think...don't tell me if I am wrong. Let me continue to believe.
And an update on my pea plant. :)

Babying My Pea Plant :)
I am so bored that I have been obsessing over taking care of my
plants. They must be stunned as I usually forget to water them. :)
I went out to find a little pole or trellis for my pea
plant...discovered she had found her own way.
I need some puppies...my plants don't need me anymore!

Facing Her Fear
After looking everywhere (except the camera) Jane faces her fear and
looks right into the camera lens. Note Bunny off to the side, frozen
in squinty-eyed fear. Take one flash photo and all of a sudden the
camera is the enemy.

Jaime Update: After the Surgery
He just had his front leg removed on Friday and is already up and
around, running, jumping, playing...dogs sure know how to handle
things! :)
Backstory for those here from a Google search: Foster dog Jaime was born with a birth defect in his front, right leg. His bones were not attached to the joint. The vet felt he would do better without the leg as he was leaning down on his "elbow" when he was walking.
Dogs do so well with just three legs, and he actually has more mobility without the leg getting in his way. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. Email address is in the sidebar.
