These are the bookshelves my mom and dad got me for Christmas and my birthday. I haven't arranged everything exactly how I want it yet, but I have my important things there. My most favorite of course is what I call my "letter two." There are five shelves, but for some reason, I photographed only the top three.
This little one I put by the front door, so I have a place to drop random things when I walk in. I thought the kids games looked cute on it, too. On the top is my former terrarium. The plant got too big, so I transplanted him to the front garden. He was growing so big and healthy. Then I went out the other day and saw that our new gardeners had torn him and all of my other wildflowers up to plant some rows of tiny little plants that all look alike. I suppose I will learn to love them, but I was heartbroken picturing Rufus (yes I named him) dying in a trash bin somewhere.
This quality looking photo is my attempt to photograph my neighbor's yorkie pup, Coco, with my new camera By the time I took the photo, the puppy was long gone. You can see part of Annie there holding the older yorkie. Eeks! Now that I look at it, there really
is only
part of Annie! She actually has
two legs.
And yes, it has been warm enough here to wear shorts. We never get a White Christmas, but we hardly ever have to wear long pants!
Who knew the new year would find me rambling again on my blog? My New Year's resolutions include: not judging others, not tickling my husband against his will, and maybe cleaning the bathrooms, umm...more often. I have broken them all already, but I am going to keep plugging away. After all, I don't need
perfection, just
improvement. :)
