A Visit From Kooger
The people that came to see the puppies today brought their sweet dog, Kooger.
Alpha destroyed any hope of being adopted by literally shrieking when he saw the dog. He then ran and hid. Not cool.
Jethro barked at Kooger like crazy.
They ended up choosing Bravo because she was the most comfortable with Kooger.
Alpha and Jethro are gonna need a little pep talk before the next adopters arrive. They need to put their best foot forward and stop acting like little maniacs. :)

*Sniff*
Hope and Oso have been adopted.
They both went to wonderful homes, but I miss their little faces.
Hope went yesterday to a home with two kids and a cat. Her new owners emailed me today to say that she was settling in well.
The couple that came over today wanted Alpha. Well, we have had a time with Alpha and his barking, so when I saw that they lived in an apartment and were first time dog owners, I had to speak up.
We put Alpha in the pen and did a little demonstration of what he sounds like when he wants attention. So they ended up taking Oso. He is the quietest and mellowest of the litter, and will probably be a great apartment dweller.
It felt good to help them make a choice, but it meant they took my little Oso.
We are definitely keeping Nai-Nai. She already fits right in and it is like she has been here all along. She has the most adorable bark. She sounds like one of those toy dogs. And she will roll on her back and play with you like a cat.
So tomorrow we have another person coming to see the puppies. She is bringing her other dog along to see which puppy will be most compatible, so it should be fun.

Rest
The puppies had their spay/neuter surgery today. I also noticed they
were missing their little dew claws!

Jane and Daisy freaked out when the pups left this morning. I was
trying to get some sleep and they were barking and pawing at my door.
So everyone is happy to have the little ones home for now.
