Hopalong (Now Jaime)

Okay, the new plan is this boy tomorrow. He has a leg that doesn't work, and the vet is recommending amputation. I haven't seen him walk yet, but I have seen many three-legged dogs and they seem to do fine on just three.

New Puppy on His Way...

This is Red. He was adopted, and it is not working out due to fear issues. Fear is our specialty. :)

He is a Lab/Shepherd/Boxer mix. Can't wait to sniff that puppy smell. :)

Edit: He got adopted...so we are getting his disabled sibling, Hopalong.

Visitor

Haley found her in the bushes, with birds harassing her. No chip, no
tag. A call to the shelter the next day matched us up with her owner.
I thought about giving a stern lecture, but who are we kidding? My
dogs spend more time breaking out than staying in.

Our neighborhood is so dog-friendly, one time Jane ran in the street
and ALL the cars stopped, everyone got out of their cars...I was soooo
embarassed to claim her.

Thankfully little Bunny knows better than to run off, but the beagle
mix is incorrigible.

Our front door has a tendency to pop open in certain weather if it is
not locked. Haley went out on a midnight walk and was "attacked" by
two scary beasts in the dark. She was never so happy to realize it was
her babies!

Beautiful sunset, courtesy of the Los Angeles fire.
